St Columbkille’s strives to be a connected and welcoming community and we value and welcome the engagement of parents and carers in school life in any way they can.
This could be as simple as being interested and informed about school events and activities and supporting and/or participating in community events, school assemblies and liturgies.
We understand that work and family commitments can make it difficult to be involved in an ongoing way, but you can engage in your child’s learning and wellbeing by supporting and/or attending:

If you are able, St Columbkille's welcomes any parents (and grandparents!) who may be able to volunteer at the school. Parent and carer volunteers are a valued support base for our school, assisting staff to provide a range of high-quality opportunities to promote the learning, wellbeing and growth of students.
Some ways you can be involved may include:
For more information, please see our Parent Involvement Information Flyer.
Please Note: Given our commitment to safeguarding children, volunteers will first need to complete our Working With Children Check (WWCC) process – information and forms can be found on the CEDoW website. The school can assist parent volunteers with this process.
We're thrilled to have you consider volunteering at our school! Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved in your child's education and make a positive impact on our school community. Follow the steps below to become a volunteer:

The Parents & Friends (P&F) Association is the formal parent representative body for St Columbkille’s. It is a most vital and necessary organisation of our school, whose primary aim is to work collaboratively with the school and parish community about matters that affect your child at school as well as general issues about school life including social events, fundraising and finances.
All parents are invited to become involved with the P&F Association and are very welcome to attend its meetings. The P&F meets once a term in the library, commencing at 7:00pm. Dates of the meetings are circulated via our school newsletter.
