Pizza, pomodoro and performances were plentiful as the staff and students celebrated Italian National Day and Republic Day, 'La Festa Della Repubblica'!

Students and staff dressed in the ‘tre colori’ of green, white and red and their Italian clothing, learned about the history of pizza, sampled woodfired pizza and sang ‘That’s Amore’ to celebrate the day.

Jonothan of Year 6 shared that, “It was a fun day as we got to celebrate how the Italians would, but in our own special St Columbkille’s way.”

Year 6 student Zac mentioned that, “The pizza was Ottimo!”

Signora Disibio (Italian teacher) and Ms Patton (Music teacher) joined forces and talents tomake the day one of fun, learning and cultural appreciation.
